I’ve had the itch to do watercolor for, um, er, let’s see now: 41 years.
Intimidated me the whole damn time. I’ve bought watercolor supplies a few times, but never actually painted anything. God bless youtube; I watched a dozen videos on water coloring (two of which were actually somewhat helpful; the others were a testament to what can happen to a volunteer-based training medium). I picked as simple a project as I could: a sunset as I remember it from the roof of the Tzec Maun Cloudcroft Observatory.
Pretty happy with the result. I just might do this again, and I’m pretty sure I won’t wait another 41 years.
