What is it about the blues?
I’m listening to Gary Moore’s Midnight Blues right now, and I’m getting swallowed up by the moody, deep resonating craziness of the song.
Misery, I guess, loves company.
On the other hand, what’s special about the blues is that, at least for what I like, it’s a curious mixture of horror and hope. Things that can kill you, but don’t. And it’s not as simple as “that which does not kill you makes you stronger.”
That which doesn’t kill you opens your eyes; what you do with that awareness is up to you.
